Youth Ministry
The goal of our Youth Ministry at Cornerstone is to encourage its members to develop a deep, personal relationship with God. Through parental and pastoral oversight, relevant teaching, and Christian fellowship, our youth group strives to fulfill 1 Timothy 1:12 which says: “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Parental and Pastoral Oversight
We are passionate about equipping and encouraging parents to be the primary spiritual influence in their children’s lives that the Bible calls them to be (Deut. 6:4-9; Eph. 6:4). Our desire is that every parent would be intimately involved in their child’s spiritual growth and foster an atmosphere at home where God is worshipped and the gospel is lived out and applied.
RELEVANT TEACHING
We seek to provide weekly instruction from the Scriptures in both our Sunday morning classes and our Wednesday night Awana program. Our desire is to see each young person growing in their ability to understand and apply God’s Word. We long for every young person to abound in their experience of the gospel and love for Jesus Christ.
CHRISTIAN OVERSIGHT
We seek to provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere in which strong Christian relationships can grow through mutual fellowship, accountability, and ministry. Our desire is to see our youth grow in relationship with each other, their leaders, and families.
High school ministry
High School is our ministry to 9th-12th graders between the ages of 14-18. We see this as a strategic four years in which to invest in these young adults so as to prepare them for a life of devotion and service to Jesus Christ. The goal of High School ministry at Cornerstone is to come alongside of the parents and encourage the students to develop a faith of their own.
