Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministry exists to come alongside the parents of Cornerstone and assist them in proclaiming the glories of the gospel of Jesus Christ to their children. We seek to provide a time of worship, instruction in the Word, and dynamic group interaction during our Sunday and weekday ministries. Our goal is to provide God-glorifying opportunities for children in a safe and caring environment.

For children 0 to 24 months, we provide a full-service nursery for both Sunday School and the Worship Service. Our Children’s Sunday School meets at 9:30 am from September through May with class starting at age 3 and going through High School. During our Sunday service, parents have two choices for children starting at age of 5 and up to 3rd graders. First, they are welcomed and encouraged to remain in the main service if their parents so desire. Secondly, during our Worship Service we have a Children’s Church ministry that begins after the singing portion of our worship.

Children's ministry options

For our nursery and toddlers, we provide a safe and secure environment for your children where they are shown love and taught simple gospel principles — kindness, sharing, forgiveness, while being led and cared for by teachers who love God’s Word and children. Our goal is to come alongside the parents in their calling to raise their children to know and love God.

Nursery

For Infants, ages 0 to 24 months (ages 0 – 2, 1st service), we provide a full-service nursery staffed by qualified Cornerstone nursery workers. We provide an assortment of age-appropriate toys and activities as well as amenities including rockers, bouncy chairs, swings, changing stations and cribs. For nursing mothers, we provide a quite and private area to nurse or change infants. We also provide snacks for children as directed by parents. We can also administer medications as directed. For safety and convenience we utilize an electronic check-in and paging system.

Toddlers

For Toddlers (ages 2 – 3 yrs.) we provide our Toddlers class staffed by qualified Cornerstone teachers and helpers. Each class includes a time of worship and singing, Bible instruction, group interaction, games, crafts, and snack. For improved safety we utilize an electronic check-in and paging system.

Sunday School

Cornerstone Kids Sunday School

Sunday School for children ages Pre-K to 5th Grade is available at 9:30 am from September through May. Each class is taught by qualified Cornerstone teachers and helpers and includes a time of Bible instruction, group interaction, activities, and snack.

Children's Church

Children are welcome to participate in our Sunday Service. Those who stay during our preaching time will receive a clipboard with sermon notes and are encouraged to follow along as we study the Word.

Children’s Church is also available for children in K -3rd grade during our service. Each class is taught by qualified Cornerstone teachers and involves a Bible lesson, group interaction, activities, and snack.
