Easter Sunday Sermon:
The Change that Knowing Christ Brings
In our service, I will be preaching a sermon entitled, “The Change that Knowing Christ Brings,” drawn from Philippians 3:4–11.
In this passage, Paul shares his personal testimony of how knowing the resurrected Christ completely transformed his values, leading him to count everything else as loss in view of Christ’s surpassing worth. What once defined him and gave him confidence, he now gladly lays aside for the sake of gaining Christ and knowing Him more fully. My hope is that this passage will not leave us impressed with Paul, but with Christ—a Savior so wonderful that He would bring about such a remarkable change in Paul, and in people like you and me.
